
Turkish Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin on Wednesday ate the last fast-breaking meal of the holy month of Ramadan with theSyrian Turkmens taking shelter in the tent city in Hatay's Yayladagi district on the eve of Eid al-Fitr. Minister Ergin took seat at the table for iftar, fast-breaking meal, with Hatay Governor Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz, Yayladagi District Governor Tolga Polat, Justice and Development (AK) Party Hatay Deputy Adem Yesildal and camp representatives in Turkish southernmost city ofHatay. Speaking at the iftar, Ergin congratulated the Eid al-Fitr of the Syrian Turkmen refugees and wished that it would be the lastRamadan of Syrians spent far away from their homes, villages, gardens and families. "Taking place at our doorstep, I wish all the incidents in Syria that tear out our hearts to end right away, praying for a prevailing peace and tranquility in the wider region. Similarly for Egypt and North Africa and anywhere else in the world having hard times, we will pray Allah on the eve of Eid al-Fitr for the urgent maintainance of peace for a life in conciliation, tranquility. We have strived to prepare a shelter for you to live in peace, although we know that all efforts fall short of making you feel at home. I reiterate my condolences to you for all you have gone through. I hope you will be able to spend the next Eid al-Fitr at your own homeland. I also wish this Eid al-Fitr will bring peace to Turkey as well as Middle Eastern territories and to all humanity, conduce to an immediate halt to the ongoing tears and bloodshed," he concluded. Ergin also extended the special and kindest regards of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Syrians living in the tent city.
