A man in Turkey was killed by a stray bullet fired from the Syrian town of Ras al-Ain, Turkish officials said. Ramazan Zeybel, 43, was killed when he was struck in the chest by a bullet while shopping in the Turkish border town Ceylanpinar on Saturday, the Turkish Dogan News Agency reported. He is the fourth town resident killed by stray fire from across the border, authorities said. Following the incident, municipal officials called on the public to remain in their homes and to refrain from venturing near the Syrian border. Turkish security personnel also beefed up their presence in the area, the news agency said. Ras al-Ain has been the focus of clashes for months as Kurdish militias fight for control against Arab rebel fighters affiliated with the al-Nusra Front, Today's Zaman said.
