Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday spoke at a meeting of his party's provincial leaders in Turkish capital of Ankara. Erdogan underlined that the attacks staged on the AK Party headquarters and Turkish Justice Ministry building in Turkish capital Ankara on Tuesday were "cowardly, disgusting and inhumane". AK Party is not a party which would take a step back after getting attacked, Erdogan said. AK Party is certainly not a party which would change its direction or cut off speed after such attacks, Erdogan underlined. We will not bow our heads, get scared, or give concessions to threats, Erdogan stated. God willing, we will continue to walk on our path, Erdogan emphasized. Those who have made the cowardly attacks will be brought to justice, Erdogan also said. Assailants hurled Tuesday night two hand grenades at Turkey's Justice Ministry, slightly wounding one woman, and in a separate attack within minutes apart, a LAW rocket was fired on the headquarters of AK Party. Touching on Nowruz celebrations in the south-eastern province of Diyarbakir in which no Turkish flag was hung or carried on Thursday, Prime Minister Erdogan underlined that the absence of the "star and crescent" (Turkish flag) was a provocative act of those trying to sabotage the process of solution in Turkey. "Expressing a desire for a solution on one hand and not displaying the Turkish flag in a Nowruz celebration is a great contradiction and an example of insincerity," Erdogan also indicated.
