Turkish Prime Minister on Saturday welcomed Israel's apology for its attack on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla more than two years ago, which left eight Turks and one Turkish American dead.Recep Tayyip Erdogan said "all our demands have now been met by that apology, which was offered the way we wanted."The apology, made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, ended the relationship crisis between the two former allies.Netanyahu's office said the two leaders had agreed in a phone conversation to normalize bilateral relations, including reinstalling ambassadors.U.S. President Barack Obama, who urged Israel to apologize during his visit in the region, welcomed the improvement in Israeli-Turkish ties.
