
Mohanad Sulaiman Al Naqbi, Deputy Chief of the UAE Embassy in Rome, attended the "Fighting Corruption, Economic Growth and the Activities of Italian Companies Abroad" conference on Tuesday in Rome.
The event was held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The conference, organised on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day on 13th December every year, was attended by UN and Italian officials and a number of academicians.
The participants stressed that corruption is a complicated international phenomenon which passively affects countries in various social, political and economic fields. They also said that fighting corruption is one of the international community and Italian government’s top priorities.
The conference also focuses on the relationship between anti-corruption policies and the activities of Italian companies abroad with a view to promoting sustainable economic growth.
