
The UAE is participating in a joint meeting of heads of Arab customs and border, seaports and airports security, which began today in the Tunisian capital. The UAE delegation is led by Director-General of the Federal Customs Authority (FCA), Mohammed Juma Buossaiba, and includes Acting Director of Legal Affairs at FCA, Ali Al Sanhani.. Participants in the meeting, which is organised by the Secretariat-General of the council of Arab interior ministers, will discuss ways of promoting cooperation between the customs and security authorities to enhance their role in combating crime and terrorism. In opening remarks, Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, Mohammed bin Ali Koman, said an effective partnership between these authorities can protect Arab countries from security, economic and health threats.
