Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, met Robert Rostek, Ambassador of Poland to the UAE, here today and discussed ways to expand economic co-operation between the two countries. New sectors, including small and medium-scale enterprises, innovation, tourism, industry, infrastructure and agriculture, have been identified for this purpose. The duo also discussed increasing investments in key joint projects.
Al Mansouri said that the UAE-Poland ties are important and strong, and they are growing significantly, notably in trade exchange, adding that non-oil foreign trade between the two countries has reached more than US$ 1 billion.
The Polish Ambassador said his country is keen to bolster its economic relations with the UAE as it is one of the economic powerhouses in the region and a key, attractive investment haven due to its strategic location, flexible, incentive-driven business environment, and modern infrastructure.
He also noted that the ties and co-operation between the two countries would receive a big boost during the upcoming visit of the Polish president to the UAE.
