Britain welcomed on Friday the start of the UN-supervised Yemeni talks in Kuwait, urging all parties to agree upon a project ending the suffering of Yemeni people.
"The consultations which began in Kuwait is an important step toward a final agreement," British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said in a press statement.
Hammond expressed his hope that the consultations be a real opportunity towards the restoration of security and stability of Yemen.
He stressed that the political option remains the optimal option to end the crisis Yemen is experiencing, calling on all parties to cooperate to end the conflict and address the consequences of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
