Ukraine: at least 5 EU leaders skipping summit

Ukraine said Monday that at least five EU presidents would not be able to attend an upcoming summit in Yalta amid growing concern over the health of jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko. "We are informing everyone of this ahead of time so that no one makes a sensation out of it," Ukrainian foreign ministry spokesman Oleg Voloshyn told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, saying letters had been received from the presidents of Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Slovenia.
