President Viktor Yanukovych has discussed Ukraine's European integration with visiting Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip. Both leaders voiced interest in working towards advocating European values and reaffirmed their joint commitment to Ukraine's political association with and economic integration into the European Union (EU). Yanukovych said European integration created new opportunities for the modernization and development of his country. "Ukraine's choice of European integration creates the conditions for reformation and modernization of our state. We consider it as a process that drives the country's development," Yanukovych said. Echoing Yanukovych, Ansip said Kiev and Brussels should also advance their bilateral ties and deepen cooperation. "The future of the European Union will be in close cooperation with Ukraine," said Ansip, who arrived here Thursday for a two-day official visit.
