The British police have arrested two Ukrainians on charges of staging blasts outside mosques in an outskirt of Birmingham. One of them is also suspected of murdering a Muslim in April this year, police in West Midlands reported on Saturday. The 25-year-old Ukrainian national is suspected of stabbing the 75-year-old Muhammad Salim to death with a knife after an evening prayer in a Birmingham mosque. The murder of Muhammad Salim is now part of a larger investigation, a police report says. The two Ukrainians arrested last Thursday are suspected of links to mosque explosions in the towns of Walsall, Tipton and Wolverhampton that have taken place over the past two months. The security forces managed to get on the young men’s trail after distributing their photos, received with the help of video surveillance cameras, in the Internet last Tuesday. The Ukrainians are 22 and 25 years old. Almost ten mosques have been attacked in Britain over the past two months. The number of unlawful actions against the country’s Muslim community has also increased.
