
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych Saturday offered the position of prime minister to an opposition leader, the president's office said. He offered the post to parliamentary leader of the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) party Arseny Yatsenyuk, the president's office said. Meanwhile, he offered the post of deputy prime minister for humanitarian affairs to another opposition leader Vitali Klitschko who leads the UDAR party, According to Justice Minister Olena Lukash, Yanukovych would dismiss the current government of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov if Yatsenyuk accepted the offer.
