UN chief hails Egyptian leadership's role in regional causes

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon congratulated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the success of the Arab Summit.
During a meeting with Sisi on the sidelines of the Arab Summit Sunday, the UN chief also hailed the role of the Egyptian leadership in several regional causes.
The meeting also tackled the Mideast peace process, with the UN chief underlining the importance of the Palestinian reconciliation and the Gaza Reconstruction.
He further said that aid offered to the Gaza Strip was so limited despite the pledges donors' made during the Cairo conference last October.
The two sides also underlined the need of exerting efforts from all sides in order to establish a two-state.
The UN chief, meanwhile, briefed Sisi on the difficult conditions in Yemen, Libya and Syria.
He also posted him on the ongoing UN initiatives to confront terrorism and extremism.
