
UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson will represent Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at the 3rd African-Arab Summit to be held in Kuwait November 19-20, it was announced here late Friday. Eliasson is scheduled to leave New York Sunday and meet on Monday with Kuwaiti Government officials, as well as with other Arab and African leaders participating in the Summit. On Wednesday, the Deputy Secretary General will travel to Turkey for meetings with Turkish Government officials. He will return to New York the following day, Thursday. The first Arab-African Summit was held in Egypt in 1977 and the second in Libya in 2010
