The United Nations' (UN) envoy to Cyprus Alexander Downer on Tuesday said the UN has not set a date for stalled Cyprus negotiations for reunification. Downer, following his meeting with President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Dervis Eroglu at Presidential Palace, said he paid a visit to the TRNC to hold a dinner for leader of the Greek Cypriot administration Nicos Anastasiades and President Eroglu on May 30 in the buffer zone adding they would not discuss the restart of Cyprus negotiations. Parties need to be prepared for the negotiations to restart, said Downer adding "When the preparations are completed, negotiations can restart." Peace talks have been stalled since January 2012 before the leadership elections in Greek Cypriot administration due to delays.
