The Women and Youth Forum at the office of the UN Special Advisor to Yemen organized here on Saturday a meeting gathered the components of youth, women and civil society organizations in the national dialogue to discuss guarantees and solutions' document of the South issue. At the meeting's inauguration, the forum's coordinator asserted that the meeting came according to the call of youth, women and civil society organizations' components to get acquainted with the guarantees and solutions' document of the South issue."The presence of the UN envoy in Yemen was as a facilitator for the political process and not as a party in the political process, he said, adding the formation of the forum is to help those components in the process of dialogue, which is considered the weakest among the national dialogue's components."Constitutional expert at the UN envoy's office John Packer explained the tasks performed in the office as a constitutional expert and observer within the UN envoy's team in the Committee of Eight. He said that during the meeting and after discussing all the presented points and reviewing those which they agreed upon and those which they did not, the final document was submitted and signed on.When he was asked about the guarantees for the implementation of the document and for the issue of the South, the UN expert said that all people are responsible and have to act like that in order to get to the targeted goal, and one of those guarantees is transparency."Our presence with this sub-committee was as a witness to all those who involved in it, and Benomar is to leave to New York after ten days and will submit his report to the Security Council on this process ," he added. And stressed that the real assurance is the Yemenis themselves in addition to the integrity and sincerity of this country's people, who have to monitor the performance of media and reporting about it, as well as supporting those media which provide accurate and real information to the public.
