UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned rebels' seizure of state power in the Central African Republic's (CAR) capital Bangui on Monday. According to a statement released from Ban's office, he mentioned that the Libreville Agreement was providing the most reasonable frame within the scope of establishing peace and stability in the country and asked from rebels to adapt themselves with this agreement. According to his statement, "UN SG Ban is deeply concerned by reports of serious violations of human rights. He underscores that those who are responsible for committing such violations will be held accountable." Ban is concerned by the dire humanitarian situation in the country and the reports of ongoing looting in the capital Bangui, including of United Nations property, the UN statement said. Rebels also known as the Seleka fight against the management in CAR. The Seleka rebel coalition previously entered capital Bangui, captured the Presidency and immediately afterwards, President Francois Bozize fled the country.
