Achim Steiner, the United Nations Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Narobi, has received copies of credentials of HE Qatar’s ambassador to Kenya, Ibrahim Bin Mohammad Al Abdullah as a permanent representative of Qatar to the UNEP. Also, Joan Clos, the United Nations Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) in Nairobi, has received the credentials of HE Al Abdullah as a permanent representative of Qatar to the UN-Habitat Programme. HE the ambassador conferred with the two UN senior officials on bilateral relations and cooperation, means of enhancing future relations, and Qatar’s role supporting the tasks of the UNEP and UN-Habitat programmes. Meanwhile, the two officials hailed Qatar’s efforts in multiple fields and the impacts of these efforts on the Arab and the global arenas.
