UN Resident Representative in Cairo Anita Nirody said the UN International Development Organization (UNIDO) Director General will lead the UN delegation to Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) on behalf of UN Chief Ban Ki-Moon.
In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Nirody highlighted the importance of the conference in view of the expected participation of a large number of investors from the private sector and foreign companies in a bid to lure more investments to back the Egyptian economy, create more job opportunities and restore tourism flow.
She voiced happiness over allocating a session at the EEDC for handling incentives for economic growth, social integration and creating job opportunities to have the poor categories benefit from the new investment climate.
She also said the UN program attaches special importance to the establishment of legal consultancy offices in all governorates to offer legal services for the citizens who can not afford fees of lawsuits.
