
United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki moon hailed the efforts exerted by Libyan Presidential Council of the unity government to realize democratic transition.
In statements following a meeting with unity government deputy premier Moussa Koni, Ban said realizing peace and security in Libya is a top priority to the UN and the international community.
Ban stressed full support to the Libyan Presidential Council, urging it to empower the unity government to take the helm in Tripoli.
Ban urged those whom he termed as obstructors to help the presidential council to return to Tripoli.
The secretary general expressed concerns over the humanitarian situation in Libya, noting that Daesh is manipulating the political schism.
