
The Arab Summit on Sunday urged the UN Security Council to bear its responsibility toward the Syrian crisis.
It also voiced deep concern over the situation in Syria, which has dramatically worsened.
The Arab Summit, meanwhile, urged the Arab League secretary general to continue consultations and contacts with the UN chief and its special envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura and the various relevant bodies in order to reach a joint plan which includes finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis, according to what was mentioned in the statement of the Geneva conference.
It further welcomed the outcome of the Cairo and Moscow meetings and their efforts to revive the political solution to the Syrian crisis.
