
US ambassador in Sanaa Gerald Firestein has confirmed commitment of the international community that the transitional term of the President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi will be expired within two years. The US ambassador, at a press conference held today in Sanaa, said " No discussions on extending the transitional period because everyone is committed to the provisions of the Gulf initiative and its mechanism executive of the end of the transitional period next year' . Gerald Firestein stressed that Yemen has become ready for the next elections in 2014,saying we are looking forward to see an open and democratic elections in which a lot of candidates to take part in and make Yemeni people put confidence in the appropriate to a new president . He described the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference as successful and constructive.
