US asks Turkey to press Syria to return troops to barracks

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on has asked her Turkish Counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, who plans to visit Syria, to convey a clear message to Syria demanding the immediate return of troops to their barracks. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said that Clinton discussed during a telephone conversation with her ??Turkish counterpart the situation in Syria. He added that Clinton asked Davutoglu to convey a message to Syria demanding the return of its soldiers to their barracks and the release of all prisoners and reiterated US support for a transition to democracy in Syria.
