US State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, “Secretary of State John Kerry had no intention to categorize Turkey in anyway.” Speaking at a daily press conference, in response to a question on the phone conversation between Kerry and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Psaki said that the two officials had a very close working relationship, especially on Syria. However, Psaki added, the US cannot remain indifferent to their concerns about "mercilessness" of the police, adding they will go on calling for approval of peaceful demonstrations. Psaki also said that all Turkish officials had to make serenity call, as well as supporting peaceful protests.
