US condemns attack on security directorate in Egypt

The United States condemns "in the strongest possible terms" the terrorist attack on the Dakaliya security directorate in Mansoura, Egypt, last night, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Tuesday. "We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and we hope for the quick recovery of the injured," she said in a statement released by the department. "The United States stands firmly with the Egyptian people as they work to put their country on the path toward democracy, stability and economic prosperity in an atmosphere free from violence," Psaki said.
