US denies Assad's claim on messages from anti-Daesh coalition

The US Department of Stated denied the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's claim that his government receives messages from the US-led coalition to counter the Daesh in Iraq and Syria.
"We warn Syria not to engage US aircraft. We did not coordinate our actions with the Syrian government," Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki to reporters on Tuesday.
"We did not provide advance notifications to the Syrians at a military level, nor give any indication of our timing on specific targets," she made clear.
Psaki reiterated that Assad "must go" but said the US does not believe that there is a military solution to the situation in Syria.
In an interview carried by the BBC earlier today, Al-Assad said his government is receiving messages from the US-led coalition but there had been no direct cooperation since the coalition began airstrikes on Daesh in Syria in September.
He added that third parties, among them Iraq, were conveying information, a claim which was also denied by the US National Security Council.
