US: Houthis' seisure of Sanaa embassy vehicles not acceptabe

The US condemned the Houthis' seizure of more than 30 US embassy vehicles in the capital, Sana’a, after the ambassador and diplomats left the country, saying it is totally unacceptable.
"Recent unilateral actions disrupted the political transition process in Yemen, creating the risk that renewed violence would threaten Yemenis and the diplomatic community in Sanaa,” US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
She declined to go into further details on how the embassy was secured after the departure of staff, saying the US expects that Houthis respect international conventions regulating diplomatic headquarters.
She did not confirm reports that the rebels have stormed the Sanaa embassy.
