US : In Pakistan's interest to attend Bonn talks

The United States said Tuesday it is Pakistan's interest to attend a conference on Afghanistan in Bonn as it plays a key role in the future of the war-torn central Asian nation. "It's important to note that this conference is... about Afghanistan, about its future, about building a safer, more prosperous Afghanistan within the region, and so that it's very much in Pakistan's interest to attend this conference," State Department deputy spokesman Mark Toner told reporters.
