US invites leaders of Japan and China for State visits

US National Security Advisor Susan Rice has stressed her country's policy of prioritizing relations with Asian countries, saying that the US has invited the leaders of Japan and China for state visits.
Rice gave a speech in Washington about US National Security Strategy.
She explained that the Obama administration's strategy is to enhance its focus in the Asia-Pacific region. She said the US will deepen long-standing alliances, suggesting that it will strengthen its ties with Japan and other countries.
Rice said the US has invited Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping to make state visits.
She also said the administration looks forward to welcoming other Asian leaders, including South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Indonesian President Joko Widodo, to the White House this year.
Rice said the US is building a constructive relationship with China. She said at the same time, Washington will confront the country's use of coercion to advance its territorial claims.
Rice expressed the administration's resolve to conclude negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement. She also indicated its readiness to cooperate with Congress to establish necessary laws.
