US-led coalition conducts 26 strikes on Daesh in Syria, Iraq

US and coalition military forces have continued to attack Daesh terrorists in Syria and Iraq, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve officials reported in a statement Monday.

Attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft conducted 14 strikes in Syrianear Abu Kamal, Raqqah, Ayn Isa, Dayr Az Zawr, Manbij, Mar'a, the statement said.

Bomber, fighter, ground attack and remotely piloted aircraft and rocket artillery conducted 12 strikes in Iraq, coordinated with and in support of Iraq’s government, neat Haditha, Hit, Kisik, Mosul, Qayyarah and Ramadi.

The strikes were conducted as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, the operation to eliminate Daesh terrorist group and the threat they pose to Iraq, Syria, and the wider international community, the statement read.

The destruction of Daesh targets in Syria and Iraq further limits the terrorist group's ability to project terror and conduct operations, it added.
