US-led coalition hit Daesh targets with 17 airstrikes

The Pentagon on Friday said the US-led coalition hit Daesh targets in Iraq and Syria with 17 airstrikes.
Twelve airstrikes near eight cities in Iraq hit several tactical units, destroyed fighting positions and a vehicle-borne explosive device, and damaged other targets, the Pentagon said in a statement.
In Syria, five strikes near three cities targeted tactical units and other targets, the statement added.
