U.S. Naval Forces Central Command , U.S. 5th Fleet and Combined Forces Maritime Component Commander Vice Admiral John W. Miller today announced the successful conclusion of the anti-mine naval military exercise – dubbed International Mine Countermeasures Exercise (IMCMEX). Naval forces representing 30 countries were engaged in a massive minesweeping exercise in the Gulf, US officials, mobilizing three thousand seamen, more than 20 ships, ten minesweepers, helicopters and submarines. Vice Admiral John W. Miller hailed Bahrain’s cooperation and support to ensure the success of the anti-mine military exercise.
