U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano arrived in Jordan on Tuesday for talks with Jordanian officials. During her two-day visit, the U.S. official will discuss cooperation on combating human trafficking, enhancing information sharing and securing international travel and shipping, according to a press release by the U.S. Embassy in Amman. Napolitano is expected to deliver a speech highlighting women’s contribution at the Department of Homeland Security and the next generation of leadership to address the challenges facing the United States. Secretary Napolitano will also sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the U.S. Transportation Security Administration and the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission to facilitate the exchange of information and technical assistance between the two countries to strengthen aviation security.
