
The United States asserted its desire to cooperate with Sudan in the field of environment and pledged to lift sanctions imposed on Sudan partially in the fields of health, education, culture and technology.
Minister of Environment, Natural Resources and Urban Development Abdel Qader Helal said in press statements following a meeting with US Chargé d'affaires Jerry P. Lanier the Sudanese side will discuss a number of proposals with the US during a meeting in New York in the coming stage.
He said the meeting tackled means to lift sanctions imposed on Sudan after their causes faded away, pointing out that the meeting was fruitful and useful.
For his part, the US diplomat welcomed cooperation with Sudan in environment domain.
