US Vice President Joe Biden has met with HE Qatar''s Ambassador to the United States Ali Bin Fahd Al-Hajiri, on the occasion of expiry of his tour of duty At the beginning of the meeting, HE ambassador Al Hajiri conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the US Vice-president and their wishes to the US people of further progress and prosperity. For hais part, the US Vice-President asked HE the Ambassador to convey his greetings to HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent and his wishes for the Qatari people of more progress and development. Earlier, HE Ambassador Al-Hajiri met with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to express his thanks for the cooperation he received during his tenure as Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States. He also met separately with Senator John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations, Senator John McCain, Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Representative Dana T. Rohrabacher of the House of Representatives. Discussions during the meetings dealt with several issues of mutual interest.
