
The U.S.A welcomed on Friday the official visit that would be paid by President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi to the American capital, Washington. The visit is to highlight the strong relations between the U.S and Yemen, and to assert the American continuous support for the ongoing political transition phase in Yemen. In a statement issued by the White House Friday night," President Barack Obama will host President Hadi in the White House on Thursday, the 1st of August." According to the statement, Obama looks forward to his talks with Hadi in order to discuss the U.S. efforts to promote democratic governance and economic development in Yemen as well as the existing partnership in fighting terrorism and to make in action the issue of returning the Yemeni detainees who approved to be transferred from Guantanamo Bay.
