US welcomes signing of border treaty between Russia, Estonia

The United States has welcomed the signing of an agreement between Estonia and Russia to demarcate the border between their two nations.Secretary of State Spokesperson Jennifer Psaki said in a statement, late on Tuesday, "we view the agreement as a positive development and a sign of a productive relationship between the two countries." "We look forward to the treaty's ratification and implementation," she added.She affirmed that the US "has recognized Estonia continuously since 1922, and we remain committed to Estonia's freedom, security, and independence."
