
The First Vice - President of the Republic, Al-Osman Mohamed Taha, has concluded his visit to the Red Sea State during which he was accompanied by a number of federal ministers. At a press conference held at Port-Sudan Airport, the federal Minister of Finance, Ali Mahmoud, affirmed his ministry's commitment to implementation of the directives of the First Vice - President for solution of the water issue in the Red Sea State. Mahmoud handed over a check of one million dollars and another of two million Sudanese pounds for solving the state's water issue, besides a contract for purchase of 10 water tankers. He affirmed the government keenness to implement the project for extending Nile water to the Red Sea State, according to the study set in this regard.
