The hegemonic system is on the verge of collapse and vigilant resistance of world nations would speed up the trend, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Saturday. President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting here with Mustafa Othman Ismail, the special envoy of the Sudanese president. President Ahmadinejad stressed that world nations could defeat arrogant powers through convergence and solidarity. Referring to Tehran-Khartoum relations, President Ahmadinejad said Iran would welcome further progress in bilateral ties and cooperation. Meanwhile, the Sudanese envoy conveyed a message from President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan to his Iranian counterpart. He also said that Khartoum attached great importance to the waves of awakening in most of the world countries, Muslim states in particular. The envoy added that Sudan was optimistic towards the increasing trend of Islamic awakening among Muslim nations.
