Cypriot nationals began voting on Sunday to elect the 56 members of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Euronews reported.
Polling stations opened at 0700 local time (0400 GMT) and will remain open until 1800 (1500 GMT), with a one-hour break at midday.
Some 540,000 people have the right to vote in the polls.
Although Cyprus has an executive system of government and the president is elected separately, the vote on Sunday is a popularity gauge for President Nicos Anastasiades, whose term expires in 2018.
