Sudanese International Cooperation Minister Kamal Hassan Ali unveiled consultations with US Charge d'Affaires Jerry Lanier to return the US aid program fully.
The Sudanese minister, speaking at the parliament, said the return of the US aid program is linked to progress realized in political relations between Khartoum and Washington.
He said Sudan is keen that the US aid would include sustainable development programs.
Meanwhile, Sudanese Parliament Speaker Ibrahim Ahmed Omar said a high-level congressional delegation will pay an official visit to Khartoum next week to discuss pending issues between the two countries, including fighting terrorism and economic sanctions.
The US delegation will also attend one of the parliament sessions on Monday, expecting that the visit could help solve some of the pending issues between them.
