Wife of the Bahraini ambassador to Egypt Shaikha Latifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa hosted a reception ceremony and a lecture for members of the International Ladies Club, which comprises wives of accredited ambassadors to Cairo, senior female figures and wives of former Egyptian ambassadors to Bahrain, to inform about the Pearl Road Project that documents a phase of the kingdom's history. Shaikha Latifa thanked the ambassadors' wives and the International Ladies Club President and members for answering the invitation, lauding the effective role played by the female diplomats in boosting relations and projecting the civilizational side of their countries. She also praised the achievements of the Bahraini women and their participation side by side with men in the kingdom's comprehensive development march. She commended the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the tremendous efforts exerted by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women, to boost the role and status of Bahraini women. She also thanked Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa for her efforts to develop the cultural and tourism sectors in Bahrain and the Foreign Minister's wife Shaikha Wesal bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, the President of "Jusoor" Programme for her unlimited support to ensure success of the function.
