
Yemen and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) signed here on Monday a finance agreement of $400,000 to implement a project to improve food security and nutrition for poor families in Hajjah governorate. The project, which will last until next December, aims to support women to produce food in home gardens, improve their skills in food production and develop their capabilities on nutrition and child care in order to improve the nutritional status of children in Hajjah governorate. It targets 1,600 families of those suffer from severe food insecurity in the governorate, according to the official news agency ‘SABA’. The agreement was signed by Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Farid Mujawar and FAO representative in Yemen Fuad al-Domi.
