
Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi met here on Monday with envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Advisor to the Amiri Diwan in Kuwait Dr. Abdullah Maatouq and his accompanying delegation. In the meeting, the two sides discussed the cooperation relations between Yemen and the United Nations in the humanitarian field as well as the conditions of internal displaced people and the effects and burdens faced by Yemen as a result of the internal displacement and the increasing numbers of the African refugees. The UN’s envoy expressed his thanks for the facilities presented to the humanitarian organizations which reflected positively on their performance and for the care presented for the refugees by Yemen, confirming the UN’s support to Yemen in all humanitarian services for the displaced and refugees.
