Yemen, US discuss military cooperation

Chief of General Staff Ahmed Ali al-Ashwal discussed on Tuesday with the U.S. ambassador to Yemen Gerald Firestein areas of military cooperation, especially in fields of training and combating terrorism. The US ambassador offered his condolences over the death of the pilot Captain Hani al-Aghbari, who was killed in the Sukhoi -22 aircraft crash accident in south of the capital Sana’a yesterday. He praised the advanced level reached by the partnership and military cooperation relations between the two friendly countries, voicing his country’s supportive position to Yemen so as to maintain its unity, security and stability.
