Yemeni Defence Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser Ahmed met here on Saturday with Tim Horner, Senior Technical Adviser on demining efforts at UNDP Crisis Prevention and Recovery Office,, who is currently visiting Sana'a. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between Yemen and the United Nations, and ways of enhancing them, specially ties of cooperation in the fields of demining and counter-terrorism and exchange of experience and information to enhance the partnership and cooperation between the Yemeni Defense Ministry and UNDP. Yemeni defense minister stressed his due keenness to provide assistance to UNDP, referring to the considerable contribution of the program. For his part, Horner confirmed the UN's positions in support of the security and stability and unity of Yemen.
