
Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Ali Nasser Lakhsha’a met here on Wednesday with Turkish customs delegation led by Inspector General of Turkish General Customs Authority, Jamali Samir, who is currently visiting the country. During the meeting, the two sides discuss and debate a range of issues relating to customs and the security of land and sea borders and how to take advantage of the Turkish experience in this area. Lakhsha’a praised the positive developments in the historic bilateral relations between Yemen and Turkey in all fields, including the security field. For his part, Samir confirmed the keenness of his country’s government to develop the relations with Yemen, especially in the security field. The Turkish customs delegation arrived in Sana’a at dawn on Wednesday on an official visit lasting several days to hold talks with the Yemeni security bodies in the fields of customs security, control of coasts and combating smuggling.
