The Yemeni government delegation participating in the peace talks in Kuwait has met with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed to discuss the latest protocol arrangements to end the current round of negotiations.
During the meeting, Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdel Malak Makhlafi asserted the Yemeni government is backing its delegation's efforts to bring about peace in the country.
For his part, the UN envoy thanked the Yemeni government’s delegation for its positive stances in this round of talks and its approval to the UN proposals to solve the crisis.
The UN special envoy to Yemen said Thursday he plans to suspend peace talks between the country’s warring parties at the weekend but that negotiations will resume later.
