Yemeni interior ministry discusses cooperation with ICRC, MSF

Interior Minister met here on Thursday with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen Cedric Schweizer. During the meeting, Qahtan and Schweizer discussed cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and the ICRC mission and ways of enhancing them in the area of humanitarian services. The Minister underscored the Ministry's keenness to provide all facilities for the ICRC mission to be able to carry out its humanitarian activities. The ICRC mission's head valued the facilities provided by the Interior Ministry to be able to provide its services to Yemeni citizens. On the other hand, Interior Minister met with a delegation of the French Doctors without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). They reviewed the cooperation relations between the Interior Ministry and MSF in the medical and humanitarian fields. Qahtan valued the efforts the organization makes in the medical areas, stressed the Ministry's adherence to provide all support to the MSF organization.
