Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'di discussed on Wednesday with the French ambassador to Yemen Frank Julie a number of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Yemen and France. The meeting touched on several issues related to bilateral cooperation and ways to develop the common trends of the two countries’ governments in expanding the areas of mutual cooperation. In the meeting, al-Sa’di commended the political and economic support provided by the French government to enhance the historic political transition in Yemen, and its active role in mobilizing the European and international support to help the Yemeni government to overcome the challenges of the current transitional phase. For his part, the French ambassador reiterated his country’s keenness to continue to provide all aspect of possible support to Yemen to assist it to overcome the challenges of the transitional phase, praising the launching of the Dialogue Conference with a wide participation from all Yemeni political and social components. On another hand, al-Sa’di discussed with the World Bank’s mission on the climatic variables the issues relating to developing the capabilities of Yemeni institutions to deal with the challenges posed by climate variables. At the meeting, the Planning Minister praised the Bank's contributions to promoting the Yemeni capacities in this aspect, confirming the Yemeni government's keenness to benefit from the experience of the Bank in this field.
